Located in a breathtaking area, the Peña Humada hiking route offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. With a total distance of 8.05 kilometers and an elevation gain of 845 meters, this difficult trail promises stunning views and memorable encounters with nature.
As you start your journey, you'll come across the majestic Joar / Ioar peak, just 2.03 kilometers from the trailhead. This will set the tone for the adventure ahead. Along the way, you'll find parking areas and picnic sites for your convenience, with the option to learn about the area at information points located 0.21 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, you'll reach Collado Royo, a saddle point 1.4 kilometers from the beginning, offering a perfect spot to rest and take in the surroundings. Further along, you'll encounter Pico Royo peak and the intriguing Sorginen leihoa / Ventana de las brujas cave entrance, adding a touch of mystery to your exploration.
As you continue towards the endpoint, Peña Humada, at 3.86 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by peaks such as Grudo and Peña Blanca, each offering unique vantage points of the landscape.
