Welcome to the hiking route to Puntarredonda! This moderate 6.5-kilometer out-and-back trail offers an elevation gain of 472 meters, promising a rewarding adventure for hikers.
Starting at the parking lot, you'll find yourself immersed in the natural beauty of the area. Around 700 meters into the hike, you'll come across a lovely picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Further along the trail, at about 1.5 kilometers in, you'll find the Fuente de los Nenes, a drinking water spot where you can refill your water bottle.
As you continue on, you'll reach the peak of Peña de los Cencerros at 1.5 kilometers, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings. This is a great spot to capture some memorable photos.
For history enthusiasts, midway through the hike at 2.7 kilometers, you'll encounter the Excavación arqueológica de San Cristobal, adding a cultural touch to your outdoor experience.
Finally, the highlight of the hike is reaching the destination of Puntarredonda at 3.2 kilometers, where you can take in the stunning vistas before heading back along the same trail.
