This extremely difficult 16.436-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the stunning Leilachspitze peak. The trail starts at an elevation gain of 1238.0 meters and is expected to take about 6 hours and 53 minutes to complete.
Beginning your journey, you will pass by the Fischerstube restaurant, situated right at the trailhead. As you make your way, you will encounter the Vilsalpsee parking lot, where you can leave your vehicle and start the adventure. Along the path, you will find the Lache water point, offering a refreshing stop 4.02 kilometers from the starting point.
Midway through the hike, at 6.15 kilometers, you will reach the Krottenkopfscharte saddle, providing a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. Further ahead, at 7.08 kilometers, the Östlicher Krottenkopf peak awaits you, followed by the Westlicher Krottenkopf peak at 6.79 kilometers.
Continuing on, you will pass by the Landsberger Hütte alpine hut, a cozy accommodation option located 3.98 kilometers from the trail. As you approach the endpoint, at 8.22 kilometers, the impressive Leilachspitze peak stands tall, offering a rewarding summit experience.
