Welcome to the Route du Tronc hiking trail! This picturesque circular route offers a total distance of 3.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 72 meters, making it an easy yet rewarding trek for nature enthusiasts.
The trail starts at Lac Le Goilly, a beautiful water body located just 0.03 kilometers from the beginning of the route. As you embark on your journey, you'll pass by helpful information points and a convenient parking area situated right on the trail.
Midway through the hike, you'll come across the Col du Lein, a mountain pass with a charming biergarten called Buvette de l'alpage du col du Lein, where you can take a break and enjoy some local refreshments. Nearby, you'll also find the Pierre à cupules, a fascinating historical site with ancient stone carvings.
Continuing on, the trail leads you to Les Reffes, a peak offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Along the way, you'll encounter benches, picnic sites, a wayside shrine, and a wayside cross, adding to the cultural and natural richness of the hike.
As you reach the summit of Col du Lein, situated at 1.58 kilometers from the start, don't miss the opportunity to visit the scenic viewpoint at a short distance from the trail. From here, you can admire the breathtaking vistas of the area before making your way back to complete the circular route.
