This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will lead you through the stunning area of Rims - Via d'Uina. With a total distance of 14.355 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1574 meters, this hike is definitely not for the faint of heart. It is recommended to set aside approximately 7 hours and 15 minutes to complete this challenging trek.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Lischanahütteparkplatz parking area, located right at the beginning of the trail. Be sure to check your gear and pack plenty of water before setting off. The trail will then lead you to Funtana Cotschna, a natural spring, which can be a great spot to refill your water bottles along the way, approximately 0.74 kilometers from the start.
Further along the route, at a distance of 4.87 kilometers from the start, you will reach Chamonna Lischana, an alpine hut where you can take a break and perhaps enjoy some local refreshments. This cozy accommodation is a popular resting spot for hikers on this trail.
Continuing on, at around 7.18 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a peak with breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape. Take your time to soak in the beauty of the area before heading back.
Throughout the hike, you may also come across various points of interest, including information points, caves, and unique rock formations, scattered along the trail. These serve as perfect opportunities to learn more about the local geology and history of the area.
