This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Banco do Rider along the PR-G 132 Ruta dos Montes de San Cibrán. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 6.786 kilometers with an elevation gain of 383 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find a convenient parking area. As you continue, about 160 meters into the hike, you'll spot a bench where you can take a quick rest. Approximately 2.38 kilometers into the hike, there is a water source available for refilling your bottles.
For sustenance options, Casa Fortes and Vila de Cans restaurants are located at a distance of 340 meters and 110 meters from the start of the trail, respectively. Additionally, you'll encounter the Festival de Cans 2010 artwork at the beginning of the trail, adding a cultural touch to your hike.
Along the way, there are several drinking water points situated at various distances from the trail, providing hydration options for hikers. You'll also come across historical landmarks like the Monumento aos falecidos no accidente automovilista de 1955 and the Cruz do Adro de Santo Estevo, enriching your hiking experience with some local history.
Towards the end of the trail, at a distance of 3.39 kilometers, there are peaks worth exploring, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
