Welcome to the hiking route to Castelo de Cans! This moderate 5.13-kilometer out-and-back trail offers a picturesque experience with an elevation gain of 276 meters, taking approximately 1 hour and 52 minutes to complete.

The trail starts at a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before beginning your journey. Just 160 meters into the hike, you'll find a bench where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along, at 340 meters from the start, you'll come across Casa Fortes, a quaint restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat.

As you continue, at 110 meters from the start, you'll reach Vila de Cans, another restaurant offering outdoor seating. Along the way, you'll also encounter Festival de Cans 2010, an artwork installation that adds a unique touch to the trail.

At 450 meters from the start, you'll find a drinking water station to refill your bottles. Midway through the hike, at 2.57 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Castelo de Cans, a viewpoint overlooking historic ruins. Don't forget to take in the scenic views before heading back.

During your journey, you'll also pass by various points of interest such as a memorial to the victims of a 1955 car accident, Cruz do Adro de Santo Estevo wayside cross, and multiple drinking water stations for your convenience.
