This challenging hiking route will take you to Monte Civeron, starting from the parking area at the trailhead. As you begin your ascent, you'll pass by the Stazione pompaggio acqua Austro-Ungherese, a historic water pumping station, and the Cimitero Austro - Ungarico memorial. These are located approximately 2.18 kilometers from the start of the trail.
Continuing on, at around 2.26 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across a fountain where you can refill your water bottles. Further along the trail, at about 2.31 kilometers, you'll find the Cucina Austro - Ungarica monument and some information points that provide insights into the area's history.
As you near the peak, at approximately 1.51 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a wayside shrine and a bench for a well-deserved rest. The route also features several cave entrances along the way, with the closest one located at 2.44 kilometers from the start.
The trail culminates at Monte Civeron, standing at an elevation of 576 meters, with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. On your way back, you can stop by the Salto del Fumola waterfall, located 1.12 kilometers from the start.
This 6.327-kilometer out-and-back route is not for the faint of heart, with a total elevation gain of 576 meters, making it a difficult trek.
