This hike will take you through a challenging 15.993-kilometer long trail with an elevation gain of 1619 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding experience. The route is circular, starting and ending at Refuge de Plan Glacier.

Starting at Parking de la Gruvaz, you will find ample parking facilities before embarking on your journey. As you begin your hike, at the beginning of the trail, you can stop by La Gruvaz for some information about the area.

Continuing on, midway through the trail, you will reach Maison Neuve d'En-Haut, another information point where you can learn more about the surroundings. Additionally, there are benches along the way for you to take a breather and enjoy the scenic views.

Further along the route, at 3.72 kilometers from the start, you will find drinking water available for a quick refreshment. As you trek on, at 5.16 kilometers, you will encounter a beautiful waterfall, providing a tranquil spot to rest and admire the natural beauty.

At 7.84 kilometers, you'll come across Refuge de Plan Glacier, an alpine hut where you can take a longer break, refuel, and even spend the night if you wish. The refuge offers accommodation and can be a great place to rest before continuing your journey.
