This extremely difficult 10.403-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the breathtaking La Jonction in the French Alps. Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, you will embark on a challenging journey with an elevation gain of 1429 meters.
As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest. About 0.93 kilometers into the hike, you will come across an information point where you can learn more about the area. Further along, at approximately 2.61 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Moraine de Taconnaz viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
The highlight of the hike is La Jonction, located at the 5.2-kilometer mark from the start. This picturesque viewpoint offers a perfect vantage point to admire the confluence of two glacial streams. Take a moment to soak in the beauty of this natural wonder before retracing your steps back to the trailhead.
