This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area of la Morella, offering stunning views and a challenging terrain. The total distance of the route is 7.723 kilometers with an elevation gain of 311 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area located just 0.0 kilometers from the trail. Approximately 0.61 kilometers into the hike, you will find a water source where you can refill your bottles. Further along the trail at 0.29 kilometers, there is another water spot, albeit not directly on the trail.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak known as la Morella, situated 3.86 kilometers from the start of the trail. This peak offers panoramic views of the surrounding area and is a great spot to take a break and admire the scenery. Additionally, there are several points of interest along the way, including the attraction Barraca at 2.12 kilometers and the Coll de la Morella saddle at 3.48 kilometers.
Throughout the route, you will also come across various information points to learn more about the area. These include SL-C 55 SL-C57, SL-C 57 3M, Els 3 Monts, and Font del Ginjoler, providing valuable information about the local history and geography.
It is important to note that there are springs along the trail for refilling your water supply. Font del Ginjoler can be found at 0.57 kilometers and Font de Casajoana at 2.57 kilometers from the start.
As this is an out-and-back route, you will retrace your steps on the way back. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
