Starting at the trailhead, you will find parking available conveniently close to the beginning of the trail. As you embark on your journey, about 140 meters into the hike, you will come across Trattoria Crista, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before continuing on. Further along, at around 0.19 kilometers from the start, there is a drinking water station for you to refill your water bottle.

Continuing on the trail, at approximately 0.31 kilometers from the start, you will find the Osteria dei Cacciatori restaurant, offering another dining option along the route. As you progress, at 0.61 kilometers into the hike, there is another drinking water station located a bit off the trail.

Further along the path, at around 1.2 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Morandina cave entrance, adding an exciting element to your journey. As you reach the 1.87-kilometer mark, you will come across the pietra miliare CLP, a historic boundary stone marking a significant point along the trail.

As you near the peak of Monte Riega, at 1.98 kilometers from the start, you will find the Monte Riega summit itself, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. Additionally, at this point, there is another cave entrance, adding to the adventure of the hike.
