This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Refuge de Bayssellance, located in a beautiful area with breathtaking views. The trail covers a distance of 11.262 kilometers with an elevation gain of 806 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you make your way up, you will pass by the Cabane d'Ossoue, a shelter where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Further along the trail, at around 4.18 kilometers from the start, you will encounter an information point with interesting facts about the area. As you continue your hike, you will reach the Grottes Bellevue, a cave entrance and shelter, located approximately 4.67 kilometers from the start.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 5.61 kilometers from the start, you will find the Refuge de Bayssellance, an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel before continuing your journey. Nearby, there are also water sources for you to replenish your supplies.
Towards the end of the trail, at 5.63 kilometers from the start, you will find the Aire de bivouac du Refuge de Bayssellance, a campsite for those who wish to spend the night in the area. Additionally, there are drinking water sources available for hikers.
As you make your way back, you can stop by the waterfall located approximately 2.04 kilometers from the start, and enjoy the serene natural beauty surrounding you.
