This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Sommet de la Serre Traversière. The trail is 12.75 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 227 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across Lac de Crouès, a picturesque lake located just 0.84 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Be sure to take in the tranquil scenery before continuing on. Along the way, you will also pass by Lac de Paloumères, another stunning lake that is 1.67 kilometers from the start of the trail.
For those interested in nature's beauty, the trail offers a variety of water sources and peaks to explore. Make sure to stop by Port de Balès, a saddle located right on the trail, and enjoy the panoramic views it has to offer. As you continue, you may also come across Pic de Pouy Pradaus and Mail de Salières, both peaks that are a bit further from the trail but worth the extra distance for their breathtaking vistas.
