This extremely difficult 11.6-kilometer hiking route to Eiskogel starts at Wengau Alm. The trail takes you through stunning alpine scenery, with an elevation gain of 1311 meters. Along the way, you will pass by several points of interest.

At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking at Wengerau for convenient access to the starting point. As you continue, about 2.6 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Dr. Heinrich-Hackel-Hütte, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy a meal.

About 5.8 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the peak of Eiskogel offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to bring enough water and snacks as there are no sustenance points directly on the trail after the alpine hut.
