Umm Al-Biyara Trail is a moderate hiking route covering a distance of approximately 5.26 kilometers with an elevation gain of 188 meters. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 1 hour and 41 minutes.
The trail starts at a parking area, which is conveniently located at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across various points of interest.
Close to the start, at a distance of 0.38 kilometers, you'll find the archaeological site known as قصر البنت (Qasr Al-Bint), followed by the Temple of the Winged Lions at 0.21 kilometers from the start. The Altar is also located nearby, just 0.38 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along the trail, at a distance of 2.07 kilometers, you'll encounter Ad Deir (Monastery).
Along the route, you'll also find amenities such as the Basin Restaurant at 0.38 kilometers from the start, offering a place to take a break and grab a bite to eat. Additionally, there are viewpoints like the North Ridge Church and Beautiful view over the Great Temple, providing stunning panoramic vistas of the surroundings.
