Welcome to the hiking route to Schneidersalpe!

This moderate 6.644-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a bit of history along the way.

The hike starts at a parking area, where you'll find information points providing insights about the area. As you begin your journey, at around 1.71 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across Salmaser Höhe, a peak offering magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Continuing on the trail, at approximately 2.86 kilometers, you'll spot a wayside cross, an historic marker enhancing the cultural experience of the hike. A bit further along, at 3.32 kilometers, you will reach Schneidersalpe, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

On the way back, at the 2.86-kilometer mark, you'll encounter Ochsenschache (Gemskopf), another peak with breathtaking views.

Throughout the hike, you'll find several benches where you can rest and take in the beauty of the surroundings. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
