This extremely difficult 21.931-kilometer out-and-back hiking route in the Petit Astazou area offers breathtaking views and a challenging adventure for experienced hikers. The trail starts at the Cabane d'Alans wilderness hut, where you can gather your supplies and prepare for the journey ahead.

Along the way, you will pass by the Maison du Parc information center, providing insights into the local area. As you continue, you will encounter the picturesque Hourquette d'Alan saddle, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the Petit Astazou peak, a perfect spot to take a break and admire the beauty of the natural landscape. Further along, you will come across the Aire de bivouac du Refuge des Espuguettes campsite, where you can rest and refuel before continuing your journey.
