This challenging hiking route in the Hubel area covers a distance of 5.339 kilometers with an elevation gain of 645 meters, taking approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes to complete. The trail is an out-and-back route, starting at the parking area near Rütti campsite.
Along the trail, hikers will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will find a shelter just 0.08 kilometers from the start, providing a nice spot to rest or seek shelter if needed. Further along, at 0.14 kilometers from the start, there is the Hotel Restaurant Stechelberg where you can grab a meal or refreshments.
As you continue your journey, you will come across two water points at different distances from the trail. The first one is 0.58 kilometers from the start, followed by another at 0.67 kilometers from the beginning. It's recommended to refill your water bottles at these points to stay hydrated throughout the hike.
Around the midway point of the trail, approximately 2.67 kilometers from the start, there is a viewpoint offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to take a break here and capture the scenic beauty with your camera.
Towards the end of the hike, at 1.21 kilometers from the start, you will find the Staldenbachfälle waterfall. Take some time to admire the cascading waters before heading back on the trail.
Throughout the hike, there are several benches and information points available for hikers to rest and gather more insights about the area.
