Welcome to the hiking route to Matzlenstock! This circular trail covers a distance of 8.879 kilometers with an elevation gain of 882 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete.
Starting off, you will find parking areas nearby the trail, making it convenient to begin your journey. As you venture further, you will come across the Naturfründehuus Mettmen, an alpine hut nestled 1.95 kilometers from the start, where you can take a break and enjoy the scenic views.
Continuing along the trail, at the 2.36 kilometer mark, you will reach the Berghotel Mettmen, a restaurant where you can refuel with some delicious food. Nearby, you'll find the Natur-Kneipp-Pfad and a water source, perfect for a refreshing stop.
Further along, at the 4.18 kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Matzlenstock, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. As you make your way back, you can relax at the picnic sites and benches scattered along the trail.
