This extremely difficult 12.945-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Pic Superior de la Vaca in the beautiful area surrounding it.
As you start your journey, you will come across the parking area at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to leave your vehicle there before embarking on this challenging adventure.
Throughout the hike, you will encounter various points of interest, including Les Marmotes, a fast-food spot where you can take a break and refuel. Further along the trail, you will reach L'Esquena de l'Ase, a saddle point offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Continuing onwards, you'll pass by el Portell, another picturesque saddle point, and then reach the peaks of Pic dels Gorgs, Pic de Freser, and Piolet de Bastiments. These peaks offer panoramic views that are well worth the effort of the hike.
At the midpoint of the trail, you'll find Coll de Freser, another saddle point to catch your breath before tackling the second half of the journey.
As you make your way back, you'll pass by Creu de Bastiments, a historic wayside cross marking your progress on the trail. Before reaching the end, you can stop at the restaurant located nearby to replenish your energy.
Finally, after a challenging but rewarding hike, you'll return to the starting point at Pic Superior de la Vaca. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before you set out on this adventure.
