Welcome to the hiking route to Stob Coire Leith in the stunning area of Glencoe. This 13.7 km trail is not for the faint-hearted, as it offers a challenging elevation gain of 1020 meters, making it extremely difficult. The estimated duration for this hike is around 5 hours and 43 minutes.
Starting at the trailhead, you will come across the Red Squirrel Campsite about 1.08 km from the beginning. This is a great spot for camping if you want to break up your hike into two days. Further along the trail at 0.6 km from the start, you will find a water source for refilling your bottles.
As you continue on, you will pass by the Clachaig Inn, a cozy pub located right on the trail at the start. This is a perfect place to unwind and grab a drink after a challenging hike. Other amenities such as parking areas and picnic sites are also available at various points along the trail to make your hike more comfortable.
Halfway through the hike, at about 5.81 km from the start, you will reach the peak of Sgor nam Fiannaidh. Enjoy breathtaking views from this vantage point before continuing towards your ultimate destination of Stob Coire Leith, which is located at 6.85 km from the start.
