This challenging 7.548-kilometer circular hike will take you through the stunning alpine landscape of Schmiedalm. With an elevation gain of 501 meters, this trail offers a moderate to difficult level of difficulty, perfect for experienced hikers looking for a good workout.

As you start your hike, you'll come across the Tourengeherparkplatz parking area right at the beginning of the trail. Be sure to grab a map before you head out. About 0.8 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach a beautiful water source where you can rest and refill your water bottle.

Midway through the hike, approximately 3.53 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the cozy Alpine hut called Schmiedalm. This is a great spot to take a break, enjoy some refreshments, and soak in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Along the way, you'll also come across several information points that provide interesting insights into the local history and wildlife. Keep an eye out for the wayside cross, a historic landmark located 2.89 kilometers from the start of the trail.
