This hiking route in Campa del Trave, Cabrales, is extremely difficult due to its length of 16.016 kilometers and elevation gain of 1284 meters. The route is an out-and-back type, starting at a parking area just 3.21 meters away from the trailhead.
As you begin your hike, you will pass by the Mirador de Cabrales restaurant at 0.26 kilometers from the start, where you can grab a bite to eat before continuing. Along the way, you will also encounter the Fuente del Tornu spring at 4.42 kilometers from the start, providing fresh water for hikers.
Further into the hike, at 7.3 kilometers from the start, you will find a natural water source, perfect for refilling your water bottle. As you reach the 6.94-kilometer mark, there is the Refugio Cabaña de Amuesa shelter for hikers looking to take a break or spend the night.
Be sure to visit the various springs and peaks situated along the trail, such as Fuente de Colines at 3.2 kilometers and the peak at 3.8 kilometers from the start. Additionally, there are restaurants and pubs like Mirador de Lallende and El Caleyón at different points of the trail, providing sustenance for weary hikers.
