This challenging hiking route will take you through the stunning Staff area, offering beautiful alpine views and a rewarding outdoor experience. The trail spans a distance of 10.692 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 671 meters, making it a difficult but exhilarating trek.
As you begin your journey, you will come across the Gusenalm alpine hut, a cozy accommodation option located 2.28 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to rest and take in the surrounding natural beauty. Along the way, you will also find convenient parking areas, with the first one right at the beginning of the trail.
Keep an eye out for the various water sources along the route, located at different points such as at 0.2 kilometers, 1.25 kilometers, and 0.05 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing break during your hike.
