This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Eckwand peak in the beautiful alpine region. With a total distance of 11.773 kilometers and an elevation gain of 668 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. It is estimated to take around 4 hours and 23 minutes to complete.

Starting from the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you continue on, you will come across several water sources where you can refill your water bottles. Approximately 2.28 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Gusenalm alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the surrounding views.

Midway through the hike, at around 5.89 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Eckwand, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the area. Make sure to capture the moment with your camera! Along the way back, you can stop by the Gusenscharte saddle for a unique perspective of the landscape.
