The hiking route to Pointe Helbronner / Punta Helbronner is an extremely difficult 12.221-kilometer out-and-back trail with a total elevation gain of 1921 meters. The trail offers stunning views and various points of interest along the way.
Starting at the trailhead, hikers will find convenient parking areas within close proximity. As you begin your journey, approximately 0.1 kilometers from the start, you will come across a parking area and further along at 0.05 kilometers, another parking spot is available.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 2.15 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Rifugio Pavillon, an alpine hut where hikers can take a rest and enjoy some refreshments. Continuing on, at 2.17 kilometers from the start, there is a water source for refilling your bottles.
As you approach the 5.93-kilometer mark, you will reach Rifugio Torino nuovo, followed by Rifugio Torino Vecchio at 5.71 kilometers from the start. These alpine huts offer accommodation options for those interested in spending more time in the area.
Towards the end of the trail, at 6.11 kilometers from the start, you will find Tavola Calda, a cafe, and Terrazza a 360°, a scenic viewpoint offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, at the same distance, there is an information point for learning more about the area.
Hikers are advised to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear due to the length and difficulty of the trail. Checking the weather forecast before embarking on the hike is also recommended to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Finally, reaching the endpoint at Pointe Helbronner / Punta Helbronner, hikers will be rewarded with breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment. Be sure to take in the beauty of the surroundings before making your way back along the same trail.
