This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area of Schiena d'Asino. The trail is 14.48 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 568 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 46 minutes to complete.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area at the beginning of the hike. As you progress, you will come across a cave entrance known as Grotta del Dordoio, located 3.44 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at 7.15 kilometers into the hike, you will find the peak called Balzo della Colonnetta. This peak offers a stunning panoramic view, although it is slightly off the main trail.

Around the midway point of the hike, at 7.24 kilometers from the start, you will reach another peak known as Sasso Caldo. This peak is located right on the trail and provides another opportunity to enjoy the scenic vistas of the area.

Along the route, you will also encounter several points of interest such as wayside crosses, drinking water sources, and saddles, including the notable Sella di Renicci. Additionally, there are memorials and more cave entrances to explore, like Dordoio, further enriching your hiking experience.
