Get ready for an extremely difficult hike to the stunning Pic de la Maiana! This 13.817-kilometer out-and-back trail will take you through some of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in the area.
Starting off at the trailhead, you'll come across the Estany Petit de la Pera, a beautiful water body just 1.68 kilometers from the beginning. As you continue on, at 1.8 kilometers in, you'll find the Refugi dels Estanys de la Pera alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some rest.
Throughout the hike, you'll encounter several amenities such as water points and shelter facilities to ensure you have a comfortable journey. Keep an eye out for the Caseta forestal de la Font de les Pollineres and the Àrea recreativa de les Pollineres picnic site along the trail.
As you get closer to the destination, you'll pass by the Collada de la Maiana saddle at 6.51 kilometers from the start and the Collet de Sant Vicenç saddle at 3.25 kilometers in. The final stretch towards the Pic de la Maiana peak at 6.91 kilometers marks the highlight of the hike, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
