Welcome to the Mascarida hiking route! This challenging out-and-back trail spans a distance of 6.337 kilometers with an elevation gain of 629 meters, promising a rewarding adventure for hikers.

The trail starts at Refugi de la Pleta del Prat, an alpine hut located 0.22 kilometers from the beginning of the route. You can refuel and rest here before embarking on your journey. As you continue on the path, you will come across Estany de Mascarida, a serene lake situated 3.06 kilometers from the starting point. This is a perfect spot to take in the breathtaking views and enjoy a peaceful break.

Further along the trail, at the 3.17-kilometer mark, you will find Estany del Diable, another picturesque lake to admire. The ruins of historic significance are located 2.14 kilometers from the start, offering a glimpse into the past as you make your way back.

Make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks for this demanding hike, and don't forget to check the weather forecast before setting out. With a duration of approximately 3 hours and 2 minutes, this route requires a good level of fitness and hiking experience.
