This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Schubenstein peak. The trail is a super easy 1.997-kilometer out-and-back route with no elevation gain, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
You will start at the Harzer Hexenstieg: Torfhaus information point, located right at the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to learn more about the area before you begin your hike. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by the Wald-Wandel-Weg information point, which is about 1 kilometer from the start. This is a perfect place to take a break and immerse yourself in the nature of the Harz National Park.
After exploring the Wald-Wandel-Weg, continue along the trail until you reach Schubenstein peak, which is about 1 kilometer from the start. This is the highlight of the hike, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to take some time to appreciate the beauty of the area before making your way back.
Before starting your hike, be sure to check the weather forecast and bring plenty of water. Additionally, there is a parking area located at the start of the trail, so you can easily access the hike by car.
