This extremely difficult 14.817-kilometer hike will take you approximately 3 hours and 55 minutes to complete. The route is an out-and-back trail located in a breathtaking area known for its challenging terrain and stunning natural beauty.
As you start your journey, you will come across a picturesque waterfall approximately 0.34 kilometers from the trailhead. This is a great spot to take in the serene surroundings and snap some photos before continuing on.
Midway through the hike, at around 7.38 kilometers from the start, you will find the Emstrur campsite. This is a perfect opportunity to rest, refuel, and maybe even spend the night if you're up for a camping adventure.
Just a bit further down the trail, at 7.41 kilometers from the start, you will encounter another campsite and an alpine hut named Emstrur. This is a convenient place to take a break, learn more about the area, and enjoy some well-deserved rest.
Along the way, you will also pass by a parking area at the beginning of the trail, an information point about Katla, and a scenic viewpoint. These points of interest provide opportunities to learn more about the area and admire the stunning landscapes.
