This extremely difficult hiking route takes you on a 12.548-kilometer journey through the beautiful Traversata Carnica area. The trail offers a challenging elevation gain of 1002 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous workout.

As you start your hike, you will come across the Göriacher Alm wayside cross located 5.68 kilometers from the trailhead. This historic site is a great spot to take in the surroundings and catch your breath. Further along the trail at 5.84 kilometers, you will find a natural water feature that provides a refreshing sight and a chance to refill your water bottles.

For those driving to the trailhead, there is parking available just 0.0 kilometers from the start point. This makes it convenient for hikers to leave their vehicles and begin their adventure. Additionally, at 0.52 kilometers into the hike, there is a drinking water station where you can replenish your water supply.

As you continue your journey, you will pass by several more water sources, benches for resting, and even a spring along the way. These points of interest provide opportunities to rest, hydrate, and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

It is important to note that this route is an out-and-back trail, so you will retrace your steps on the way back to the starting point. With a duration of approximately 5 hours and 24 minutes, it is crucial to bring an adequate amount of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear.
