This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of West Highland Way. The trail is 7.206 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 280 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 2 hours and 22 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. About 3.6 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source. Further along, at 2.77 kilometers, there is another water point. For those interested in climbing, The Ice Factor is located right at the beginning of the trail, offering a thrilling experience.
Near the trail, at the beginning, there is a parking area available. As you continue onwards, you will also come across Blackwater Campsite, a great spot for camping, located 0.28 kilometers from the start. Additionally, there are picnic sites about 0.13 kilometers from the beginning, perfect for a quick rest stop.
For sustenance, there are several options available nearby. The Antler Bar, Riverside Chippy, Highland Getaway Inn, Tailrace Inn, and Chillers are within walking distance from the trail.
