This hiking route will take you through the stunning area of Bowscale Fell. The 4.422 kilometers long trail with an elevation gain of 363 meters offers a moderate level of difficulty, making it suitable for hikers with some experience.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across The Mill Inn, a pub where you can grab a meal or a drink before or after your hike. Continuing on, you will pass by Lorraine's Tea Garden, a cozy cafe perfect for a quick break.

As you make your way along the trail, you will also encounter Mungrisdale Parish Council, providing interesting information about the area, and the Mungrisdale 18th century Lime Kiln, a historical site worth exploring.

Midway through the hike, you will reach a peak offering breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape. It's a perfect spot to take in the scenery and capture some memorable photos.

Throughout your hike, be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and wear appropriate footwear. Check the weather forecast before setting out, as conditions can change quickly in mountainous areas.

After spending a few hours exploring the beauty of Bowscale Fell, you can head back along the same trail to complete the out-and-back route.
