This hike will take you to the beautiful Pic Galinat area, offering stunning views and a challenging experience. The route is an out-and-back type, totaling 6.709 kilometers with an elevation gain of 636 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 8 minutes to complete.
As you begin your journey, you will come across a parking area conveniently located right at the trailhead. As you hike further, at around 0.13 kilometers from the start, you will find Le Perce-Neige restaurant, where you can grab a bite to eat before continuing on your adventure.
Midway through the hike, at 2.53 kilometers from the start, you will reach Col de Cadène, a saddle offering a scenic spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, at 2.85 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Col del Orry du Pas, another picturesque saddle to appreciate.
At 3.35 kilometers from the start, you will reach the highlight of the hike, Pic Galinat, a peak with breathtaking panoramic views. Make sure to take some time to soak in the scenery before heading back.
On the return journey, you can stop by Col des Gauguets, a saddle located 3.35 kilometers from the start, and then pass by Pic des Galines, an impressive peak standing tall at 2.79 kilometers from the start.
