This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you through the stunning area surrounding Rifugio Mandrone and Passo Pisgana. The route covers a distance of 11.491 kilometers with an elevation gain of 830 meters, making it a difficult trail that will take approximately 4 hours and 44 minutes to complete.
Starting from the parking area at the beginning of the trail, you will pass by the historic ruins at a distance of 4.51 kilometers from the start. As you continue, you will come across several water features such as Lago Mandrone at 5.52 kilometers, providing a picturesque setting for a rest stop.
Along the way, you will encounter multiple drinking water facilities to refill your bottles, benches for a quick break, and information points to learn more about the area. Make sure to bring an adequate water supply and check the weather forecast before embarking on this hike.
Midway through the trail, you will find Rifugio Adamello Collini al Bedole at 1.18 kilometers, offering a convenient accommodation option for overnight stays. The trail also passes by various war memorials and natural landmarks, adding historical and scenic elements to your journey.
