This challenging circular hiking route near Arenales del Trevenque covers a distance of approximately 11.75 kilometers with an elevation gain of 546 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is around 4 hours and 5 minutes.
As you begin your trek, you will come across the first point of interest, Cortijo Sevilla, a historic ruins site located just 0.18 kilometers from the start of the trail. Continuing on, at approximately 1.39 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Mirador del Trevenque, a viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views of the surroundings.
Around the midway point of the trail, at 5.59 kilometers, you will encounter Aguas Blanquillas, a drinking water spot to refill your bottles and stay hydrated. Further along, at 5.46 kilometers, you will find Refugio de Rosales, a shelter for hikers to rest and take a break.
Towards the end of the hike, at 5.46 kilometers, you will reach another viewpoint, Canal de la Espartera, providing picturesque sights of the landscape. Additionally, there is Aguas Blanquillas, another drinking water point, conveniently located at the beginning of the trail.
Throughout the hike, keep an eye out for informational signposts such as PR-A 20 / PR-A 21 and other points of interest that provide insights into the area's history and natural features.
