This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you through a stunning area with a total distance of 17.833 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1173 meters. The total duration for this hike is estimated to be around 7 hours and 3 minutes.

Starting at Cortijo Sevilla, a historic ruins site located 0.27 kilometers from the trailhead, you will begin your journey through the rugged terrain. Make sure to check the weather forecast before starting and bring an adequate supply of water.

As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by Canal de la Espartera, a viewpoint offering spectacular views just 0.05 kilometers from the start. Midway through the hike, you will come across Corazón de la Sandía, a natural peak 6.95 kilometers from the start, followed by Los Castillejos, another peak located 8.17 kilometers into the hike.

Further along the trail, you will encounter Los Gallos, a natural peak standing at 8.92 kilometers from the start. Nearby, there is also a cave entrance at 8.87 kilometers into the hike, adding to the adventurous experience.

Additional points of interest include parking facilities at the trailhead, informational points such as PR-A 20 and PR-A 21 along the way, and benches for resting at various spots on the trail.
