Welcome to the hiking route to Monte Sciara Piccola!
This extremely difficult 13.43-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a challenging adventure for experienced hikers. Starting at Piazza Alessandro Volta, the trail takes you through Parco Naturale Dolomiti Friulane, where you can learn more about the area at the information points along the way.
As you make your way up the trail, you'll come across Monte Sciara Piccola, a peak standing at 6.72 kilometers into the hike. Take a moment to admire the breathtaking views before continuing on. Along the route, you'll find drinking water stations to stay hydrated, as well as benches for a rest.
Halfway through the hike, at 2.58 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a beautiful waterfall, perfect for a scenic break. Further along, at 6.07 kilometers, you'll reach Forcella di Teglara, a natural saddle point offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
With an elevation gain of 1359 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Make sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and wear appropriate hiking gear. Check the weather forecast before setting out, as conditions can change rapidly in the mountains.
