This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning natural scenery and some historic landmarks. The trail is 7.158 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 170 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike. It is an out-and-back route with the destination being Puig de Sant Cristau.
As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area followed by a castle located at around 3.58 kilometers from the start. There is also a restaurant called Xalet de l'Albera just 0.01 kilometers from the beginning, where you can stop for a break and enjoy some local cuisine.
Along the way, you will find picnic sites, an information center, and natural features such as Coll de l'Ullat and Pic d'Orella. At 1.44 kilometers from the start, you will reach Pic d'Orella, a notable peak with breathtaking views.
Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 3.58 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Puig de Sant Cristau, another impressive peak. Nearby, you will also find a wayside cross, an information center, and a spring called Font de Sant Cristau where you can rest and replenish your water supply.
