Welcome to the Chemin du Schrankenfels hiking route! This beautiful area offers stunning views and a moderate hiking experience.

As you start your journey, you will pass by the Hundsplan parking area, which is conveniently located right at the beginning of the trail. Be sure to bring plenty of water and some snacks as you make your way towards the peak.

At the peak, approximately 3.32 kilometers into the hike, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Take a moment to soak it all in before continuing on towards the Col de Wolfsgrube saddle, located 1.38 kilometers from the start of the trail.

If you're looking for a spot to rest and enjoy a meal, the Hundsplan picnic site is a great place to stop, just 0.01 kilometers from the start of the trail.

As you make your way back, keep an eye out for the historic boundary stone dating back to 1848, located 1.38 kilometers from the trail.

This out-and-back route covers a total distance of 6.634 kilometers with an elevation gain of 235 meters. The duration of the hike is approximately 2 hours and 7 minutes.
