This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning landscape of PR-S2 S-16. With a distance of 11.138 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1016 meters, this trail is not for the faint of heart but offers breathtaking views for those up to the challenge.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll come across amenities such as parking areas and a hotel (Hotel Parador de Fuente Dé) where you can park your car and relax before embarking on your journey. As you make your way along the trail, you'll pass by restaurants like Fuente Dé and Cafetería Fuente Dé where you can grab a bite to eat.
About 2.92 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach the peak of Cueto Redondo, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. Further along, at around 3.04 kilometers, you'll encounter Collada de la Junciana, a beautiful saddle point along the trail.
Throughout the hike, you'll also come across various points of interest such as informational sites, a historic monument (Antigua Cabina), fountains, picnic sites, and springs like Fuente Jacinta and Fuente Deva where you can rest and refuel.
At the midway point, around 5.57 kilometers, you'll reach the peak of Joracao, offering a rewarding sense of accomplishment and stunning views. As you continue your journey, you'll pass by other peaks and saddles, adding to the adventure.
