The Rennsteig-Dolmar-Weg is a challenging 8.424-kilometer circular hiking route that offers stunning views and historical landmarks along the way. The trail starts at a parking area and follows a path through the beautiful countryside.

As you begin your hike, you will come across several parking areas before reaching a viewpoint at around 4.16 kilometers into the trail. This viewpoint offers a perfect spot to rest and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Further along the trail, at about 3.45 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the archaeological site of Wüstung Leipzigs Rasen, adding a touch of history to your adventure.

For a relaxing break, a bench is conveniently located at around 3.04 kilometers from the start, providing a nice resting spot to take in the surroundings. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as the trail is considered difficult with an elevation gain of 211 meters.
