The hike to Sonnwendkogel is a super easy route with a total distance of 1.625 kilometers and an elevation gain of 73 meters. The trail starts at a parking area located right at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across Nationalparkhotel "Villa Sonnwend" at a distance of 0.74 kilometers from the start. This could be a great spot to stop for a break or a meal.

Further along the trail, at the 0.74 kilometer mark, you will find Station 1, where you can gather more information about the surroundings. As you continue on, at about 0.81 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a bench where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the view. Nearby, you will also find the peak of Sonnwendkogel, a natural wonder worth exploring.

For a picturesque view of Sonnwendkogel, make sure to visit the Sonnwendkogel viewpoint, located at the same distance of 0.81 kilometers from the start. This spot offers a stunning vantage point to admire the surrounding landscapes.

Although this hike is relatively short and easy, it's always important to come prepared with plenty of water, especially on warmer days.
