The Felsenweg hiking route is a moderate 6.336-kilometer circular trail that offers stunning views and exciting climbing opportunities in the picturesque area. The trail has an elevation gain of 383 meters and takes approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes to complete.
Starting at the Hohe Brücke viewpoint, hikers will be treated to an immediate glimpse of the surrounding natural beauty. As you make your way along the trail, be sure to stop by the Bruggawasserfälle waterfall, located only 0.23 kilometers from the start, for a refreshing break and some great photo opportunities.
Midway through the hike, around the 3.1-kilometer mark, you will encounter climbing spots such as Rhode Wand, Birkenwändle, Zigeunerwändle, and Zähringer Wand. These rocky outcrops provide a thrilling challenge for climbers of all skill levels.
Further along the trail, at approximately 2.97 kilometers from the start, you will come across Bohrhakentürmle, Studentenweg, Buchenfels, and Warmer Fels climbing spots. Take your time to enjoy the exhilarating experience these climbing areas have to offer.
Before completing the loop, at the 2.53-kilometer mark, hikers will pass by the archaeological site of Wilde Schneeburg, adding a touch of history to the natural beauty of the surroundings.
