This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning natural and historic landmarks. Starting at an elevation of 921 meters, you will follow an out-and-back route towards the destination of Rapsfelsen, which sits at an elevation of 1297 meters.
As you begin your hike, you will come across the Alte Grenzmauer, an ancient border wall, and a refreshing spring to replenish your water supply. Further along the trail, you will find a bench to rest and take in the surrounding scenery.
Continuing on, you will encounter a memorial honoring a historic event, and the peak known as Hohe Kelch, providing panoramic views of the area. Nearby, you will find boundary stones from 1790, serving as markers of the area's history.
At the Hohkelchsattel, another boundary stone and an information point await, offering insights into the local area. As you trek onwards, you will pass by the Hohkelch-Brünnele, another spring for a quick drink.
Throughout the hike, you will come across several benches and boundary stones, providing opportunities to rest and learn more about the area's past. Additionally, viewpoints such as Rapsfelsen and Heideckfelsen offer breathtaking vistas of the landscape.
This 4.759 km route includes an elevation gain of 389 meters and takes approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes to complete.
