Hiking : Vrchlazy

This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Vrchlazy. With a distance of 7.507 kilometers and an elevation gain of 180 meters, this hike is considered difficult and is expected to take around 2 hours and 11 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across some points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. Further along, approximately 0.06 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Žiarska dolina information point, which marks the entrance to the valley.

Heading deeper into the hike, around 0.28 kilometers from the start, you will see the sign for the Odbočka na Baranec a Plačlivé trail. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.

Continuing on, after about 1.73 kilometers, you will reach Chata Baranec, a shelter where you can rest and refuel. As you approach the peak, Vrchlazy, located 3.75 kilometers from the start, be prepared for a challenging climb to reach the top.

On your way back, make sure to stop by Hôrňa u kohúta, a fast food spot located approximately 1.79 kilometers from the start, to grab a bite to eat and replenish your energy.
