This extremely difficult 11.883 kilometers out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the majestic peak of Hochnissl. The trail starts at a parking area where you can leave your vehicle and begin your adventure. As you make your way along the challenging path, you will encounter several points of interest.

About 1.54 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water spot where you can refill your bottles and stay hydrated. Further along, at around 5.01 kilometers from the start, you'll come across another peak called Niedernissl, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings.

Along the trail, you will also encounter various facilities such as benches for resting, information points for learning more about the area, and even a restaurant named Karwendelrast for a well-deserved meal. Make sure to check out the memorials and historic sites like the Eugenie Dürnberger memorial and the Mathäus Oberladstätter shrine along the way.

Although the hike is challenging with an elevation gain of 1631.0 meters, the stunning views and rewarding experiences make it all worth it.
