This extremely difficult 17.548 km out-and-back hiking route will take you through the stunning natural beauty of the Starzenalm area. The trail features an elevation gain of 1067 meters and a duration of approximately 6 hours and 43 minutes.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by the picturesque Schloss Donnersbach castle, located just 0.4 km from the start of the trail. Along the way, you will also encounter several water features such as streams and rivers, providing a tranquil atmosphere as you hike.

Midway through the hike, you will reach Stubeggsattel, a saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take a break and soak in the natural beauty of the area.

Make sure to stop by the Donnersbacher Klamm information point, located just 0.03 km from the trail, to learn more about the geological wonders of the region. Additionally, bring plenty of water and snacks as there are limited facilities along the trail.

For a challenging adventure, continue on to Zachenschöberl peak, located 7.81 km from the start of the trail. From here, you can enjoy sweeping views of the area before heading back towards the starting point.
